There are countless breathtaking sights waiting to be discovered in Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe that extend far beyond the typical temples and nightlife scenes.

(Examples hyperlinked throughout.)

In Kyoto, you can meander through historic neighborhoods that will transport you back in time with their exquisitely preserved buildings from centuries past. As you wander through the streets of Kyoto, you will encounter hidden gems such as traditional tea houses and serene gardens that offer a peaceful escape from the bustling city life. The rich cultural heritage of Kyoto is evident in every corner, from the intricate craftsmanship of numerous wooden temples to the graceful movements of geishas gliding through the historic Gion district.

In contrast, the vibrant city of Osaka beckons with modernity and innovation, reflected in the futuristic skyscrapers and bustling street food markets. Indulge in the local delicacies such as takoyaki and okonomiyaki, and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere at the Dotonbori River's Ebisu Bridge, where neon lights and giant billboards create a dazzling spectacle at night, including the famous Glico Man sign.

And in Kobe, marvel at the intriguing pseudo-Western architecture that once accommodated foreign residents. In the charming Kitano district, the Former Foreign Settlement Area of Kobe, you can wander through picturesque streets lined with (sorta) Western-style houses, now become museums and cafes.

While in the city of its origin, sample world-famous Kobe beef, known for its exceptional quality and flavor. And for a breathtaking view of the city and surrounding mountains, take a ride up the Ropeway to the Nunobiki Herb Gardens, for a truly unforgettable experience and an outstanding scenic overview of the entire area.
